Associate Dean's Message - March 11, 2019
Dear Sackler Community,
Last Friday I had the honor of serving on a judging panel for the 100K New Ventures Competition. Organized by the Tufts Entrepreneurship Center of the Gordon Institute, the competition allows students to pitch business ideas and start-up ventures. I judged entries in the medical device and life science track and was impressed with the variety of ideas and innovations. However, one thing that was apparent was the need for each team to have a deep science background to validate their ideas. To that end, I encourage Sackler students to become engaged in the Entrepreneurship Center so you can bring your expertise to future projects. You don't need to be a serial entrepreneur to become involved. Take a look at this year's competition to see this years finalist here!
