The newly formed Center for the Integrated Management of Antimicrobial Resistance (CIMAR), a joint effort of Tufts University and Tufts Medical Center, is bringing basic science and clinical medicine together to attack a critical world-wide health problem. Over 55 investigators at Tufts focus on aspects of infectious disease relevant to antimicrobial resistance.

CIMAR is co-directed by Ralph Isberg, PhD, a member of the Sackler Molecular Microbiology and Genetics graduate programs, and Helen Boucher, MD, Professor of Medicine.
