Summer is a time to recharge, examine goals and take steps to achieve them.

Dear Sackler Community,

Here we are in the middle of summer and I hope that you are enjoying the warm weather and gentler pace that July brings. I have found for myself that it is the time that I get the most done with respect to taking stock of what we have accomplished and growing new ideas. This is why we had the successful Sackler-wide Open Forum on June 25th. For reaching out to others, surprisingly, meetings with people (even busy important people) are easier in that when they are not away traveling, their schedules are also lighter. I hope that you too will use this time to advance your research, strategize with your advisor, and seek out ways to think about and advance your career paths. It may be the best time to make that email to reach out and network for the informational interview. Take a look at this three part series of articles discussing successful informational interview strategies (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). So, in these warm summer days, recharge yourself, think deeply about your research and use this quieter time to push forward toward your goals.
