Tufts University grants degrees three times a year: in August, February, and May but has only one commencement ceremony. This ceremony occurs in May and all graduates completing their studies during that academic year are encouraged to attend. Participating in Commencement Day is a wonderful way for you to celebrate your academic achievements.

Before starting to write the thesis or dissertation, students should read the Thesis Preparation Guidelines for specific information about arranging content, formatting, style, fonts, and other required elements. Checking these instructions early in the process will save time in the end.

Deadlines and Required Forms
Students can learn about the required graduation forms and the deadlines that apply for each of three graduation dates. In addition, it is a good idea for students to use the Graduation Checklist to keep track of where they are in the graduation process. Students should also familiarize themselves with the online thesis submission process using the link on the page. Understanding what needs to be done and completing all the required forms before the deadlines will insure that your last days at the Sackler School go smoothly! Additional information can be found on the Student Forms page.
