The Tufts Biomedical Business Club (TBBC) is an active, student-managed organization made up of PhD, MD, and MD/MBA students that is dedicated to the pursuit of three primary goals:
- Educate students on the business and financial issues associated with the healthcare industry
- In particular, how to apply basic science knowledge to the industry of drug development
Manage the assets of the TBBC Investment Fund - Encourage scientific entrepreneurship at the Tufts Medical School by exposing students to training and resources necessary for business development
The mission of the group is to encourage students to explore the business implications of the basic science education provided at the Tufts Medical School and The Sackler School of Biomedical Science.
The TBBC is actively seeking sponsors both within the University and from industry. Activities include bi-monthly meetings, hosting distinguished guest speakers, offering workshops on entrepreneurship related topics, and managing the TBBC Investment Fund.
A Message from Business Club Leadership
Welcome to the Tufts Biomedical Business Club (TBBC). The 2008-09 academic year was a tremendous success for the TBBC, and we are planning on another great year for our members. We are the only student organization at Tufts Boston Campus to include PhD Candidates, MD, MD/MBA, MPH, and dental students. We have a great speaker series planned for this year, and we sincerely hope you will join us.
There is no fee to join the club.
Best,
