Liscum Named Finalist in AAMC Award Competition

Laura Liscum, PhD, a member of the Sackler School CMP, Neuroscience and PPET graduate programs at the Sackler School and Director of the Building Diversity in Biomedical Sciences, the summer undergraduate research program based at Sackler has been recognized by the AAMC.

Liscum was one of two finalists in this year's Award - 2013 Building Bridges and Spanning Boundaries Award: Innovative Institutional Partnerships in Research and Research-Focused Training.

She was recognized for her proposal "Pathway to the PhD at Tufts University’s Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences", a proposal that builds on a new program established this past year with the University of Massachusetts-Boston. 

Dr. Liscum will be recognized this September at the AAMC GREAT group meeting.
