Research Synopsis

I no longer have an active research laboratory and do not accept research trainees. I remain an active participant in graduate education through service on thesis committees and through teaching. I also serve as one of the MSTP student advisers. My laboratory focused on retroviral mechanisms of oncogenesis and studied Abelson virus. We were particularly interested in understanding how infection with this virus altered growth, survival and differentiation of early B cells and caused leukemia.
