Research Synopsis

I remain active in teaching, thesis committees and other graduate activities, but I no longer accept thesis or rotation trainees.  My research focused on the mechanism and regulation of the biosynthesis and processing of the peptide cholecystokinin (CCK). This work centered on the endoproteolytic enzymes and involves examining CCK processing in the brains of mice in which specific enzymes have been inactivated.
