Research Synopsis

Our research is focused on health services and addressing disparities in health care, particularly for women and racial and ethnic minority groups. Our recent research includes examining the impact of insurance reform and insurance instability on health disparities in multiple populations. We are also part of a multi-site cohort study investigating factors related to cancer incidence among underserved populations. Additionally, we have conducted a longitudinal study to understand the factors associated with promoting and achieving diversity in biomedical careers, such as recruitment, promotion and retention of women and minority faculty as well as interventions to address these issues..
