Research Synopsis

My laboratory is interested in understanding mechanisms that regulate adaptive immunity and tolerance in transplantation, autoimmunity and infectious diseases. My lab is currently focusing on developing a mechanistic understanding of how concomitant health conditions alter immune responses. We are also studying how microRNAs control tissue injury responses. We are currently focused on defining gene pathways regulated by microRNAs by constructing microRNA-mRNA interaction maps.
