Research Synopsis

Our group is interested in developmental neurobiology, traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases. We are also interested in brain regeneration, stem cells, persistent neurogenesis in the adult human brain, stem/progenitor cell tumorigenesis, combining stem cell, molecular and gene therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, exosomal transmission of disease, comparative vertebrate regeneration, nutrition and treating neurodegenerative disease and cancer. Some of our most recent studies focus on developing patient specific avatars for testing emerging standard of care, diet and nutrition therapies and cures for a variety of debilitating diseases.
