Research Synopsis

As Director of Complementary and Integrative Medicine, my work involves themultidisciplinary investigation of mind-body therapies and broad integrative medicine for chronic medical conditions that integrates theory, concepts, research design, and analytic approaches, as well as basic, clinical, and psychosocial sciences. My interests encompass not only traditional Chinese medicine for chronic pain, rheumatology, epidemiological sciences, behavioral studies, clinical trials, therapeutic interventions, mechanisms of human disease, and comparative effectiveness research, but also healthcare policy, social sciences, evidence-based medicine, outcomes research, and international research sciences.
