Faculty and Research

The Sackler faculty numbers over 170 and is committed to providing outstanding training to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other trainees.  Our faculty are drawn from the School of Medicine, the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy, the School of Dental Medicine, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Engineering.  They share a passion for biomedical research and for education, making Sackler an ideal place to pursue one's training.

The majority of our faculty maintain active research laboratories that are investigating contemporary questions spanning from the most basic to the most translational aspects of biomedical research.  They are supported by state-of-the-art facilities and core resources. These faculty welcome graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other trainees into their laboratories.  Other faculty focus on graduate teaching and other aspects of graduate student life.  This mix provides the vibrant, student-focused environment that has always characterized the Sackler School.
