Finding a place to live in the Boston area can seem complicated at first. In addition to Sackler School and Tufts University resources that provide assistance, other listings can be very helpful. Suggested ways you can begin your search are listed below.
Summer Housing Coordinator
Every summer, a medical student is employed part-time as the Summer Housing Coordinator. This individual works to help students of the Medical, Sackler, Dental, and Nutrition schools with issues related to off-campus housing.
The Housing Coordinator sends all incoming students a Welcome Packet at the beginning of the summer that includes information related to finding housing and relocating in Boston. She or he also maintains a list of available vacant apartments, apartments to share (students with established apartments looking for a roommate), apartments for sublet, rental agencies, and temporary housing options.
The Housing Coordinator can be contacted via email at med-housing@tufts.edu from June to August.
Online Housing Resources
Tufts University
The School of Arts & Sciences on the Medford campus maintains an Off-Campus Housing Resource Center as a free service to the Tufts community, and covers topics including rental listings and Massachusetts tenant rights.
