Assistant Professor of Biology
TEACRS Alumna - 2011
I joined the TEACRS Program after completing my PhD in Molecular & Cellular Pathobiology
at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. I conducted my research at Tufts with Richard Karas, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine.
My postdoctoral research focused on the molecular mechanisms responsible for the estrogen-mediated protection of cardiomyocytes from apoptosis to understand the way estrogen mitigates heart failure.
As part of the TEACRS Program, I taught the Senior Seminar for Biology Majors at Pine Manor last spring focused on estrogen and women's health.
