Assistant Professor of Biology
Western Washington University
TEARCS Alumna, 2013
I joined the TEACRS program and Peter Juo's laboratory after completing my PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
My research in the Juo lab focused on the role of ubiquitin in regulating glutamate receptors in the nervous system of the nematode, C. elegans. My work led to a better understanding of the basic biology behind neural function and diseases that affect the nervous system.
As part of the TEACRS Program, I taught a Senior Seminar for Biology majors at Pine Manor College focused on neurodegenerative diseases.
