Assistant Professor of Biology
TEACRS Alumnus - 2011
I joined the TEACRS after completing my PhD in Cellular & Developmental Biology at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
My research centered on studying the diversity of murine leukemia viruses in the genomes of wild mice species and the role of an mRNA editing enzyme in host defense. My work sought to provide insights into the timing and pattern of retroviral infections that have occurred during mouse evolution.
As part of the TEACRS Program, I designed and taught an upper level Virology course at UMass Boston.
