State University of New York - Potsdam
TEACRS Alumna - 2015
I joined the TEACRS Program after completing my PhD in Biochemistry from Hunter College in New York City. As a TEACRS trainee, I conducted my research with Claire Moore, Professor of Developmental, Molecular & Chemical Biology in the School of Medicine.
While in the program, the goal of my project was to understand how mRNA polyadenylation is down-regulated as a consequence of DNA damage and how this regulation contributes to effective repair of this damage.
As part of the TEACRS Program, I taught Principles of Genetics and Molecular Biology at Pine Manor College in the fall of 2012 and helped develop the first labs for this course.
I was a member of the faculty at Mt Ida College before moving to my current position in the Chemistry Department at SUNY - Potsdam.
