GABA-mediated neuronal inhibition is crucial in brain development and function. Impairments in GABA signaling lead to severe neuronal disorders such as addiction, depression, autism and schizophrenia. I am studying the molecular determinants of function and trafficking of GABAB receptors. My studies include biochemistry and electrophysiology experiments using a murine model.
