Throughout my clinical training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases I became interested in sepsis in immunocompromised patients, and I am continuing my research training in basic and translational methods relating to immunology and microbiology as I pursue a career as a clinician-researcher. I am beginning work on a project to examine antibiotic resistance mutations in a murine model of Acinetobacter pneumonia following induction of neutropenia with cyclophosphamide treatment.
