October 3

The Education Group Seminar Series, Prof Jeffrey Miller, UCLA. 2:30 pm, Koch Institute Auditorium, MIT

  • Dr Miller’s textbook: I, Microbiologist: a Discovery-Based Course in Microbial Ecology and Molecular Evolution details teaching an undergraduate lab course in microbiology. It includes protocols that can be completed in short periods yet give hands-on research experience. Students learn to devise hypotheses, perform experiments and obtain results in order to better understand key concepts.

October 7
