Mycobacterium tuberculosis infects one third if the world's population, killing  about 2 million people every year. To develop improved therapeutic interventions, we examine the cellular organization of mycobacteria using live cell microscopy. My research focuses on elucidating mycobacterial growth and division pathways that enable this pathogen to withstand stress during infection.
