Cyclic di-nucleotides are common secondary messengers utilized throughout life. While the activity of one such cyclic di-nucleotide is well understood in humans, its role in bacteria remains elusive. Working in Vibrio cholerae, I aim to elucidate how pools of this messenger are regulated and identify signaling targets in the cell.
