Students seeking admission to the Genetics Graduate Program apply to the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. You may also contact our program assistant, Ms Diana Pierce
or our Admissions Director, Dr Philip Hinds
if you have specific questions.
Prospective applicants will be evaluated based on grades, GRE scores, 3 letters of references, and their personal statement. Prior research experience is a positive factor, but not absolutely required. A personal interview is strongly encouraged and is an important part of our evaluation process.
Most of our current students majored in a biological science during their undergraduate years. The Graduate Record Examination is required, but a subject test (Biology or Biochemistry) is optional.
The application process is completed on-line. Additional information about application documents, selection criteria, and international applicant requirements can be found on the PhD admissions page.
