Our lab uses single-molecule fluorescence methods to understand the structural dynamics of viral components. My work centers on haemagglutinin (HA), the influenza envelope glycoprotein, and its role in membrane fusion. Specifically, I am interested in how novel neutralizing antibodies alter the structural dynamics of HA, with clinical applications to immunotherapy and vaccine design.
