Early detection of breast cancer would likely result in a much better outcome. My research focuses on the detection of low abundance breast cancer biomarkers in blood. By utilizing ultra-sensitive single molecule techniques, I hope to develop a biomarker panel that could result in both early diagnosis of breast cancer as well as an effective monitor of therapeutic efficacy.
